A delicate rose composition, Elisabethan Rose 2018 by Penhaligon's perfume for women is a new floral oriental fragrance that is an olfactive illustration of the Wars of the Roses, which pitted the house of the red roses, Lancaster, against the house of the white roses, York (1455-1485). Originally released in 1984, it was modernized and relaunched in 2018. The scent is built around two rose ingredients: rose centifolia and rose absolute. It also plays with the two colours: red and white, red being for love (with a note of red lily) and white for doves.

Middle Notes: red lily, Centifolia rose, rose oil, May rose absolute, geranium, plum, black currant
Base Notes: vetiver, musk, woody notes, orris root, violet
