Hermès (International S.A.) is a French high fashion luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837 by Thierry Hermes. It specializes in leather, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear. The first parfume release was in 1951 with Eau d'Hermes, which remains one of the crowning glories of French perfumery. Since then, great names of perfume design were involved in creation of olfactory masterpieces, such as Caleche, Equipage and most recent Un Jardin en Mediterranee, that instantly transformed Hermes into one of the world's major perfume houses, preserving Hermes sense of craftsmanship and expertise. Hermes genealogy is today structured into four lines of olfactive expression: the Colognes, the Garden-Perfumes, the Novel-Perfumes and the Hermessence collection.
