Diptyque Paris
Diptyque Paris is a French perfume house founded in 1961, at present owned by the London-based private equity fund Manzanita Capital. The perfume house was established by three artists: Yves Coueslant, Desmond Knox-Leet and Christiane Gautrot - it opened on Boulevard St. Germain in Paris as a salon, offering furnishings and textiles, imported from England scents and scented candles. The first Diptyque scent, L'Eau, was designed in 1968 and was based on old English home fragrances. Today Diptyque has 60 perfumes in its fragrance base.
