Extraordinarily beautiful vintage perfume, luxuriant, extremely powdery and musky scent of sunfilled warmth, Arpege by Lanvin perfume for women is an aldehydes floral fragrance, an enduring masterpiece, arguably one of the greatest perfumes of all time. Arpege was created by perfumer Andre Fraysse upon the request of Jeanne Lanvin for her daughter Margaret’s birthday. The composition opens with effervescent aldehydes, citrus notes and soft peachy accents; at the heart is a floral bouquet made of jasmine, rose, softly powered mimosa, honeysuckle, all just past their peak, accentuated with an unusual spicy note of coriander; on the dry down, Arpege becomes warmer and takes on a more resinous character due to earthy and spicy vetiver, enigmatic patchouli with its lingering, earthen smell, and an immaculately proportioned murmur of musk and vanilla.
